#6 Hitter: Dylan Ingram, Strasburg

Dylan Ingram Shelton StateContinuing to move down the list, today we have the 6th best hitter in the 2016 Valley League season- Strasburg’s Dylan Ingram!

Dylan, named 2nd team All-Valley at first base, hit 319/426/532 for the Express. In 40 games and 141 at-bats, he had 9 doubles, 7 home runs, a 21/39 BB/K ratio, scored 27 runs, and drove in 30. He went 1-2 in the all-star game, and hit 240/310/560 in the playoffs. He hit 5 doubles and a home run in those 25 postseason at-bats! His best game was on June 7th at Purcellville, when he went 4-5 with a run, double, and drove in 3 runs.

Dylan is currently attending Auburn, but he spent his first two college seasons at Shelton State. As a freshman in 2015, he hit 245/330/298 in 94 at-bats, with 5 doubles, 13 runs, and 12 RBIs. He exploded in his sophomore season. Check this out: 411/483/643 in 168 at-bats, 43 runs, 64 RBIs, 31 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 22/13 BB/K ratio, and stole 2 bases. He led the team in batting average, slugging percentage, double, and RBIs. No wonder Auburn wants him!
