Top Playoff Hitters

Before we get to the top hitters in the regular season, we need to take a look at those who pounded the ball during the playoffs, when the stakes were highest. (Do you believe in clutch hitting, brilliant reader?) No one got close to 20 hits, like Stephen Kerr did in 2014 for Charles Town (he went 20-39 in 8 games- incredible), but that was partly due to the reason that the playoffs didn’t last very long this year. Only one series went the full 3 games.

Here is the list of top hitters in the playoffs in 2016! (Slash lines are batting average/on-base percentage/slugging percentage)

9. Michael Hartnagel, Front Royal and Butler: 333/364/524 in 5 games: 7-21, 2 runs, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 RBI, 1/6 BB/K

8. Michael Curry, Strasburg and Georgia: 320/433/480 in 7 games: 8-25, 8 runs, 1 double, 1 home run, 7 RBIs, 4/4 BB/K
