Well, so much for four games- three games were washed out by rain last night. But one game WAS played, and featured a tremendous start by a Waynesboro pitcher.
Waynesboro 6, Staunton 0: Tyler Howe threw a complete game, 2-hit shutout, giving the Generals a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three semifinals against the Braves.

The hitter of the day is TJ Condon, from Faulkner! The General’s catcher went 3-3, with 2 runs, a double, a walk, and a stolen base. During the regular season, TJ hit 307/374/534 in 88 at-bats.

Not only was Tyler Howe the best pitcher last night, but the Alabama State Hornet earned the highest game score of the entire season with his 9 shutout, 2-hit innings. He only walked 3, and struck out 9 for a score of 89. Tyler went 2-2, 5.59 in 5 games started in the regular season.
