And Speaking of No-Hitters

Chris Diaz Rome 2014Or partial no-hitters, that is.

Anyway, Chris Diaz (Staunton 2012) had his own amazing start last night. Pitching for Rome in the South Atlantic League (a fairly aggressive placement for a 2014 draftee), Chris threw 4 no-hit innings against Charleston, while walking 1 and striking out 4. His bullpen did not maintain the no-hitter like the Spokane staff did, but his start is no less excellent for that.

On the year so far, Chris has pitched in 9 games (8 starts), and is 0-0, 2.30, with 18 hits, 16 walks, and 36 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings pitched.

Keep it up, Chris!
